Born in Serbia, Jelena Antić started on the piano before taking up the violin at the Music School for talented children in Ćuprija when she was 8, then moved on to the viola when she was 13, studying in Belgrade, Dresden and Berlin. Since 2022 she spent time with orchestras including the Dresden Philharmonie, the hr-Sinfonieorchester, DSO Berlin, Ensemble Resonan and the Niederbayerische Philharmonie. She has taken part in many national and international competitions for viola and chamber music and started studying for her masters in September 2024 in classes held by Prof Tabea Zimmermann at the University for Music & the Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main and joined the Frankfurt Opern and Museumsorchester in the 2024/25 season. She is passionate about chamber music and loves teaching other people.
