Beili Ouyang

Born in China in 2003, Beili Ouyang started studying the horn when he was 7, with Xianguang Han, Xiaoming Han, Johannes Hinterholzer and Carsten Duffin and is currently studying for his masters at the University for Music and Theatre in Munich. When he was 13 he won 1st prize at the Florence Horn Competition in the »Unter 18« category and, aged 14, was awarded a scholarship by the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein. When he was 16 he won 2nd prize at the 4th Tianjin International Horn Competition and 1st prize at Shanghai’s Music Conservatoire’s Concerto competition. He played with China’s Youth Orchestra in 2017 and 2019 and won 1st prize at the 2021 Alexander China French Horn Competition. He has been a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, the Tirol Academy and the Moritzburg Festival since 2022 and gained further experience with the Munich Philharmonic. He joined the Bavarian State Orchestra‘s Hermann Levi Academy in 2023.
