Cornelia Ilg

Cornelia Ilg began learning the violin when she was seven. She studied in Karlsruhe and Mannheim, where she graduated. In addition to a busy concert career with renowned orchestras including the Frankfurt Opern und Museumsorchester and hr-Sinfonieorchester she is much sought-after as a chamber musician, playing in quartets, trios and piano quintets in and around Frankfurt. Solo and orchestral work has taken her to places including Israel, Japan, China, Spain, Russia and the USA. She recently performed the Armenian composer Alexander Arutiunian’s rarely heard violin concerto with Collegium Musicum Frankfurt.
