Nika Brnič, born in Ljubljana (Slovenia), studied with Prof. Miloš Mlejnik at the Music Academy there, Prof. Troels Svane at the University of Music in Lübeck and took her masters with Prof. Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar and University of Arts in Berlin, while completing her chamber music studies at the University for Music in Lübeck. Nika Brnič attended masterclasses held by people including David Geringas, Jens Peter Maintz, Gustav Rivinius and Ivan Monighetti. She has appeared solo and in chamber music concerts in Slovenia, Iceland, Croatia, Italy, Austria, Great Britain, Switzerland, Lithuania, Latvia and Germany. She has appeared as a soloist many times with the Slovenian Philharmonic. She gained early orchestral experience as an apprentice with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester and during a year long engagement with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Her musical training was sponsored by the Slovenian Ministry for Culture, DAAD and the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Foundation. She joined the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester in September 2014.
