Baritone
The baritone Leon Tchakachow, is back at Oper Frankfurt, where he sang Leporello and the title role in Don Giovanni for Children, Nicola in a new production of Giordano’s Fedora, a Servant in Capriccio and a Flemish Deputy Don Carlo, a role he sang when making his debut at Hessen's Staatstheater in Wiesbaden in 2022, to sing 2nd Orderly and a Journalist / Clown in new productions of Henze's The Prince of Homburg and Alban Berg's Lulu, which are followed by a Costume Seller in the first revival of our crazy production of Nielsen's Masquerade and the King / Snake in Valtinoni's The Little Prince at the Staatstheater in Darmstadt, where he sang in Thierry Tidrow's Persona. He has appeared in oratorio at the cathedrals in Speyer and Limburg, Maria Laach Abbey and the Katharine Church in Frankfurt and was awarded a scholarship by the Richard Wagner Verband Frankfurt. After time spent at the University for Music in Mainz he studied for his bachelor with Prof. Thilo Dahlmann at the HfMDK in Frankfurt and his masters with Michelle Breedt. He also took part in masterclasses held by people including Claudia Eder, Brigitte Fassbaender, David Jones and Michael Volle. While on the HfM in Mainz’s Barock Vokal – programme of excellence, he delved into historically correct methods of performing with people including Andreas Scholl, Sigiswald Kuijken and Michael Schneider.
