This American soprano is back at Oper Frankfurt, where she made her debut in 2018/19 singing Grete when our production of Schreker’s Der ferne Klang / The Elusive Sound first opened (available on CD - OehmsClassics), to repeat her wonderful portrayal of the role in a revival and sing Chrysothemis in this new Claus Guth production of Elektra. She started the season off with Bianca in Zemlinsky's Florentinischer Tragödie (in concert) with the Deutsche Oper Berlin in the Konzerthaus in Berlin. She then sang her first Sentas in a new production ofThe Flying Dutchman at the Hamburg State Opera. She recently sang the title role in Strauss’ Salome at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Highlights in recent seasons have included Chrysothemis (Elektra) and Elisabeth (Tannhäuser) at the Hamburg State Opera, Cassandre (Les Troyens) at the Munich Opera Festival, Salome at Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam, Sieglinde (in concert) with the Orchestre de Paris, the title role in César Franck’s Hulda in Paris, Elsa (role debut) in Lohengrin at Oper Leipzig, the Composer (Ariadne auf Naxos) at the Teatro Colon Buenos Aires, Cassandre in Les Troyens and Salome at the Semperoper in Dresden, her first Sieglindes in Die Walküre at the Hamburg State Opera, and concert performances of Act 1 in the Konzerthaus in Vienna under Joana Mallwitz, and Salome in Bilbao and Atlanta. Next season she adds two more new roles to her repertoire: Leonore in Fidelio and Ellen Orford in Peter Grimes. Recent concerts have included Mozart’s C minor Mass with Bertrand de Billy and Zemlinsky’s Lyric Symphony with the Gürzenich Orchester in Cologne.
