The British dancer Evie Poaros, back to perform Anima in this new production of Berg's Lulu, has been appearing regularly at Oper Frankfurt since 2015, in new productions including Dialogues des Carmélites, The Merry Widow, Rinaldo, Carmen, Orlando and Elektra. She has appeared in operas directed by Vincent Bossard, Ted Huffman, Barrie Kosky, Damiano Michieletto and Claus Guth, with whom she works often, and performed at places including the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London and the Vienna State Opera. Work as a choreographer and movement collaborator has taken her to the Teatro San Carlo in Naples (Don Carlo), the Latvian State Opera and Aix-en-Provence Festival (Il Viaggio, Dante). She also works on interdiciplinary projects with the Kammer Philharmonie Frankfurt and Ensemble Modern and appeared with free dance and theatre groups including Dorfproduct and the GOSSIPS collective. While studying classic and contemporary dance at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt she completed an apprenticeship with The Forsythe Company in 2014/15, working with choreographers including William Forsythe, Regina van Berkel, Marguerite Donlon and Richard Siegal. She also obtained her masters in psychology in London.
