Rastislav Lalinský

Rastislav Lalinský has been a member Oper Frankfurt’s Chorus since 2023/24 and you can hear him now as the Pope / Prisoner in this revival of Janáček’s From the House of the Dead. This Slovenian baritone has sung solo at various opera houses and festivals including Theater Erfurt, the Landestheater in Linz, the LAC in Lugano, Stadttheater Bad Hall, the Tongyeong International Music Festival in South Korea and Schleswig-Holstein’s Landestheater, where he was a member of the Ensemble. His most important roles to date were Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Hans Scholl (Zimmermann’s The White Rose) and Papageno (Die Zauberflöte). Concert work has included appearances in Orff’s Carmina Burana and Bach’s Christmas Oratorio in the Musikverein in Vienna. He studied violin and singing at the Conservatoire in Žilina and gained early experience on stage at the Janáček Academy for Music & the Performing Arts in Brno, the Franz Liszt University for Music in Weimar and Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, where he also performed as a member of the Landestheater’s Opera Studio.
