Tommaso Bertasi
dancer
Tommaso Bertasi works all over Europe as a freelance dancer, collaborating regularly with the Fabien Prioville Dance Company in Düsseldorf and the Egri Bianco Danza company in Turin. He was apprenticed to the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, under Jacopo Godani's direction, from 2020 - 2021. Before then he worked with, amongst others, the Dancer at Europa Dance Company in Brussels, appearing in productions directed by Marco Goecke and Laurent Drousie. Whilst studying classic and contemporary dance at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt, this Italian born artist worked on choreography with Menghan Lou, Iván Pérez Avilés and Simon Mayer. He also appeared in Schaufenster (Showcase) 2.0, an improvisational dance performance in collaboration with art galleries in Frankfurt. He embarked on his professional training with the Eko Dance Project in Turin, run by Pompea Santoro, which also involved him dancing in Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Now he's back in Frankfurt, where he performed in Matthew Wild's 2024 Tannhäuser - voted Performance of the Year! - for this new production of Handel's Partenope in the Bockenheimer Depot.
