South Korean bass Inho Jeong is back at Oper Frankfurt to sing Tschub this wonderful production of Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Night before Christmas, a role he sang for the first time in last season's revival. He made his debut in Germany in May 2023 singing the Grafen von Walter in a new production of Verdi’s Luisa Miller at the Gärtnerplatz Theater in Munich.  Future plans include Gessler in Guillaume Tell at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liege and Uncle Bonze in Madame Butterfly, a role he sang at the Aix-en-Provence Festival, at the Opéra national de Lyon. Recent engagements have included Arkel (Pelléas et Mélisande) at the Voice in Idomeneo at Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège. Roles in recent seasons have included the Marchese d’Obigny in La Traviata at the Gangnam International Music Festival and the title role in Le nozze di Figaro at Sungshin Women’s University. Concert work has taken him to places including the Seoul Arts Center, the Dae-jeon Arts Center, Austria, France and Portugal. He has worked with conductors including Marco Boemi, Sascha Goetzel, Vladimir Kiradjiev, Marius Burkert and Tugan Sokhiev and orchestras including the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, Graz Philharmonic, the MDW Philharmonic Orchestra, the Veneta Philharmonic Orchestra and Prime Philharmonic Orchestra. After his graduation he won the Marmande Competition in France, the Riccardo Zandonai Competition in Italy and Otto Edelmann and Feruccio Tagliavini singing competitions in Austria.
