Mara Scheibinger studied set and costume design at the University for Fine Arts in Dresden and the Université du Québec in Montreal. She has been working as a freelance set and costume designer since 2017. She brought a production of Stollen. Work case scenario. Conference Theater (2017) to life as part of the Emotional Labor Theater collective, which was performed in Dresden and Gießen, the set and costumes for the world premiere of Mina at Oper Frankfurt and the set for Così fan tutte at Theater Aachen (2019). She designed set, costumes and video for Suche (2020) at the Heimathafen Neukölln Berlin and Pin Kaiser und Fip Husar (2023) at the Theater in Plauen-Zwickau. She also created an Augmented-Reality-Application: Pudding Labour (2024) – a game aimed at doing away with household chores, for the AURORA School for ARtists at the University for Technology and Science in Berlin.
