Virginie Déjos, who trained the chorus for this new production of Magnard's Guercœur, is in charge of the chorus at Theater Heidelberg, where she also conducts Massenet's Werther and some concerts during the 2024/25 season. She assists the chorus master of the 2025 Bayreuth Festival. She has conducted symphony concerts and operas in Paris with, amongst others, Chœur Harmonia and the Orchestre Lyrique, the world premiere of Rémi Guillard's Requiem in the La Madeleine church, Britten's The Little Sweep and Weill's Der Jasager at the Théâtre de Rochefort, Das Rheingold in Vendôme and Philipp Glass’ Les enfants terribles at the Stuttgart State Opera in 2022. Other enngagements have taken her to Oper Lübeck and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. She often plays the piano with chamber music groups and has accompanying recitals  at places including the Ruhrtriennale, the Stuttgart Liederhalle, the Philharmonie in Vilnius, the Seoul Arts Center, Nürnberger Bridging Arts Festival and Messiaen Festival. She studied piano at the Royal Conservatoire in Brussels with Evgeny Mogilevski and conducting at the École normale de musique Paris, graduating from the Sorbonne in Paris. Virginie Déjos has won many competitions, including the Alexander Skrjabin Piano Competition, the Concours d’Île-de-France de Maisons-Laffitte and Concours international de la mélodie de Gordes (with Déborah Attal).
