Wicke Naujoks is working at Oper Frankfurt for the first time, on this new production of Henze’s The Prince of Homburg. She was a set and costume designer assistant and costume designer as part of the Berlin Ensemble from 2003 - 2017. Inspired and influenced by her work with Achim Freyer, Karl-Ernst Herrmann, Claus Peymann, Johannes Schütz and Robert Wilson for many years she embarked on a freelance costume designer career in 2017, working with directors including Karin Beier, Anna Bergmann, Catharina May and Sebastian Sommer. Recent projects included the costumes for Anthropolis at the Deutsche Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, set and costumes for Die Maskeraden des D. Oregan at the Volksbühne in Berlin, Spring Awakening at the Staatstheater in Karlsruhe and costumes for Die Bakchen and Die Pest at the Staatstheater in Wiesbaden. Future plans include Herr Puntila und sein Knecht Matti at the Schauspielhaus in Hamburg and Mein Jahr der Ruhe und Entspannung at the Volkstheater in Munich.
